Remember those moments when a friend shares something new, and you can’t help but get curious? That’s exactly what happened to me when my friend Monisha Charan, founder Izaara Events Company from Singapore started raving about her new fitness obsession-*water walking. At first, I thought she was joking. I mean, walking on water? Isn’t that something only superheroes (or maybe magicians) can do?

But then she explained how it’s been an absolute game-changer for her fitness regime-combining all the best parts of walking and swimming without intense focus. Now, I love swimming, but let’s be honest, it demands concentration. You’ve got to kick, stroke, breathe, and make sure you don’t end up with a nose full of chlorinated water. Water walking, on the other hand? It sounded like my kind of workout-low-key but effective, with just enough focus needed to keep from drifting off to the deep end. Intrigued, I dove headfirst into researching this seemingly magical exercise.

Breaking the Surface: What is Water Walking?

Water walking isn’t just about moving through water; it’s about moving through life with a renewed sense of purpose and strength. This low-impact, full-body workout combines the benefits of walking and swimming, offering a unique way to enhance cardiovascular health
